This position is responsible for providing leadership, management, and implementation of business and industry programs and initiatives. The incumbent participates as part of the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) team, provides an innovative climate focused on transfer, occupational preparation, community outreach, and meeting the needs of the area industries. The incumbent stays current in their field and in classroom pedagogy.
Three or more years of career, trade, or technical program or industry experience
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university
Highly effective communication skills
Three or more years of experience in supervising professional personnel
Ability to manage and execute day to day operational requirements
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
Master's degree from a regionally accredited college/university
Demonstrated success in building partnerships and collaborative agreements
Teaching in a higher education setting
Posses knowledge of higher education organizations
Experience working in a union environment
Experience in fiscal planning and budgeting
Experience securing other sources of funding
Evidence of data-informed decision making and effective strategies to increase enrollment and retention
Experience building and supporting programs across multiple sites
Proven success in strategic planning, assessment, and change initiatives
Experience with technology including MS Office Suite and student records systems
